Sleep In Trees
All is passing by.
At high speed I rush through the green and black, I am on mission
impossible. No one has done it before and I am going to be the first,
the first to come through to other colours. I wear a fur costume, a
furious face, a frightening foot, running like running fire through the
forest. I turn my head and see the trees and I look down and see the
ground with dry leaves and sticks. The sound is clear and crisp and all
is passing by.
I am hanging in the air, still, suspended and all is passing by, wind,
wood, wool, moving under me, beside me, away from me.
So I am not moving?
So I am motionless and way behind?
So I am stagnant, standing still?
And everything else is moving and all is passing by.
So something must be holding on to my legs.
And everything else is moving and all is passing by.
It’s heavy and I twist and turn to see it.
And everything else is moving and all is passing by.
It’s a red hairy thing, with sharp blue shark’s teeth and orange
skin.
And everything else is moving and all is passing by.
It is a witch and she sits on her behind and with a gloomy face she
holds me back, with all her weight.
And everything else is moving and all is passing by.
That is my problem I have a witch hanging onto my leg. She isn’t very
big, but very noisy and hot-headed and she bites me until I stop and
sit myself down in the black and green mud of things fast moving and
all is passing by.
And everything else is moving and all is passing by.
